> The Velvet Years: Warhol's Factory 1965-67
The Velvet Years exhibition was organised by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Cleveland, Ohio and brought to Australia by Write Angle. Many people were drawn to Andy Warhol and the Factory. For some, he and it were the New York scene of the sixties. The cast of characters in these photographs, who acted in his films, worked with him, hung around his second studio on East 47th Street was diverse. For varying amounts of time, with varying degrees of involvement, each had a part in Warhol's studio or world - before he was shot and nearly killed by Valerie Solanas on June 3, 1968. Things changed then. He changed, the factory changed. They were never the same again ... (Shore,S
and Tillman, L (1995), The Velvet Years: Warhol's Factory 1965-67. Thunder's
